This message is very simple, without any volunteers stepping forward to take on these roles within WSBA the future for next season is looking uncertain.
Fixture Secretary - [firstname.lastname@example.org]
We are looking for a new WSBA Fixtures Secretary for the 2019/2020 season to take over from Julie Lucas who has done a great job for us this season or perhaps we could have two people in the role –
One U12/U14 Fixtures Secretary and
One U16/U18 Fixtures Secretary
This role involves arranging county matches and booking venues. Predominately arranging Shires League matches for the two teams at each age group by liaising between the Team manager and the opposition through the main Badminton England calendar to agree fixture dates.
Treasurer – [Treasurer@wk-sba.org.uk]
We are looking for a new WSBA Treasurer for the 2019/2020 season to take over from Louisa Porter who has done a fantastic job in this role for the last three years and who will be stepping down. We are looking for someone with ideally an Accountancy background here.
This role involves looking after the money and comprises of;
Income - predominantly comes from membership and tournament fees.
Expenses - predominantly from court, shuttle and tournament costs.
The current Treasurer would be able to go through everything and do a complete handover.
Tournament Co-ordinator - [email@example.com / 07973 291 270]
We are looking for a new WSBA Tournament Co-ordinator for the 2019/2020 season to take over from Paul Harper.
This role involves coordinating the tournaments WSBA host and run. Currently this is 13 Badminton England (BE) sanctioned tournaments and 2 Junior County Championships.
These tournaments provide national standard competition to our players locally.
BE Tournaments provide WSBA with our main source of income after membership fees. Without the profit from tournaments, membership fee would increase by over 50%
Please consider putting your hand up for one of these roles. Your county needs you!
Please contact either the current officer above or Julia Hammerton at firstname.lastname@example.org
